Sino Search Engine

350% soar

Rather like the dot bubble days when customer service reps would alt-tab between calls to check their millionaire worth.

The price of Chinese search company Baidu.com rockets Friday on its first day of trading, starting at $27 and closing at a whacking $122.54.

Clever Google paid $5 million last year for 749,625 shares -- a stake worth $92 million as of Friday.

I don't actually read a word of Chinese but I know what a search site looks like, so I've been amusing myself punching in English terms and seeing what comes up and which topics and sites I'm denied.
