A new Le Carré, by God. Just in time for my birthday, to boot, which should relieve my family from hunting around. Actually, the only hunting around will be for $$: Anna turns 13 on Jan 25 (note how smoothly that runs off my pen), G turns 20 on Feb 3, and I turn [expletive deleted] the day after, Feb 4.
Absolute Friends looks vintage JL (himself no jeune ceps at 72) - plenty of Yank bashing, I gather; doubly worth reading.
